Abilis Foundation supports action of persons with disabilities in the Global South

Abilis Foundation is a Finnish non-governmental organisation that grants project funding to grassroots organisations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) and small businesses run by persons with disabilities in developing countries. We particularly support projects that are planned and implemented by OPDs that are newly-founded, working in rural areas, or founded by women with disabilities, and action that aims to advance the status,

human rights, employment, inclusive participation, and independent living of persons with disabilities. The projects focus on concrete activities and last on average between 1 to 2 years, with grant sizes ranging between 3 500 – 15 000 euros.
